NAF employees are workers whose salaries come from funds that are not appropriated by Congress. NAF employees include civilians working on military bases and government contract bases as teachers, daycare providers, and PX and Exchange workers. The NAF provides benefits for these workers who are injured in a job related accident or while performing job related activities. If you are a civilian employee injured overseas, while working on a military base, or on a government contract base, please seek the advice of an attorney to claim your benefit compensation.
NAF workers’ compensation is provided by the Nonappropriated Funds Instrumentalities Act (NAFIA). NAFIA is an extension of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA).
